The anti-bribery standard must be implemented in the control bodies and those issuing permissive documents

May 4, 2021 – The anti-bribery standard – ISO 37001, is to be implemented in the control bodies and those that issue permissive documents. The standard aims to prevent, detect and combat possible cases of corruption within state structures. The concept and action plan for the implementation of the standard will be developed by an expert in the project “Fight against corruption by strengthening integrity in the Republic of Moldova”, implemented by UNDP with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.

This activity supports the Working Group on the Implementation of Anti-Bribery Standards ISO 37001, created by the decision of the Prime Minister and is monitored by the Secretariat of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister, which also provides the secretariat of the Working Group.

The activities regarding the implementation of the standard were discussed during the meeting of the Working Group on 29.04.2021.

The standard is to be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the Government Action Plan, being coordinated by the Working Group created for this purpose. The working group is chaired by the Deputy Secretary General of the Government and assisted by the Secretariat of the Economic Council.

After implementation, the bodies concerned will be certified to comply with the rigors of the anti-bribery standard by accredited independent experts, who will subsequently periodically check compliance in order to maintain the validity of the certificate.
