16 April 2020 – AmCham Moldova presented the results of the study ”Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Moldovan businesses: realities, expectations, actions” in a meeting on the Economic Council to the Prime Minister platform. The purpose of the Study is to identify the main factors generated by COVID-19 pandemic that are negatively affecting entrepreneurial activity. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Sergiu Railean, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Dorel Noroc, representatives of other public authorities and by numerous business associations.
The study was based on the survey questionnaire responded to by 315 companies from more than 20 industries, being conducted in the period March 30 – April 6 among Moldovan businesses. This was made possible due to a partnership with the Economic Council to the Prime Minister, Moldovan Investment Agency and with several business associations. The answers were processed by PwC Moldova on a pro-bono basis.
