The Economic Council to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova hosted the presentation event for the *Practical Guide on Establishing and Using Customs Guarantees*, an essential tool for the business environment in the context of the new customs regulations.

The event brought together representatives of public authorities, customs experts, and economic agents interested in the application of the provisions of Customs Code No. 95/2021, which came into force on January 1, 2024. The guide provides clarity on the process of establishing customs guarantees, available options, and solutions for optimizing related costs.

Key topics covered included:

  • Types of customs guarantees and their conditions of application;
  • The impact of new regulations on economic agents;
  • Facilities offered through the Authorization for the Use of a Comprehensive Guarantee (AUGG);
  • Steps to obtain an effective customs guarantee.

Participants appreciated the initiative of providing a practical tool to facilitate compliance with the new customs requirements. Discussions highlighted the need for effective implementation and clear support mechanisms for businesses.

The presentation of the guide marks an important step toward improving customs procedures and creating a favorable economic environment for international trade.
