ECONOMIC COUNCIL TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE RM
29 July 2021 – The Chamber of Notaries, the Public Service Agency, the Electronic Government Agency and the Information Technology and Cyber Security Service met with experts from the Secretariat of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister to discuss possible solutions that would allow the digitalization of notary services in Moldova.
During the discussions, it became clear that at the moment, for example, the Register of Legal Entities does not allow online viewing of all information necessary for notaries. In this situation, they force clients to receive statements on paper. For example, according to notaries, data on the size of shares in companies, arrests / bans / pledges, information on beneficial owners cannot be viewed online.
In the cadastral area, for example, a real estate statement cannot be obtained in electronic format so that it can be presented to other institutions via information systems or by e-mail.
Proposals for amendments to the legislation will be developed on the topics covered, which will be discussed with all stakeholders. This will be monitored by the Secretariat of the Economic Council.
The Secretariat of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, funded by the UK Government’s Good Governance Fund, and the International Finance Corporation’s Investment Climate Reform Project funded by the Government of Sweden’s International Development Agency.
