ECONOMIC COUNCIL TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE RM
October 12, 2020 – The draft law was drafted to digitize a series of processes in the relationship between Government and Business and Government and citizen.
During today’s meeting of the Economic Council chaired by Sergiu Railean, the Minister of Economy and Infrastructure discussed the package of legislative amendments on ensuring the unconditional acceptance by public authorities, legal persons under public and private law, individuals, documents and electronic signatures.
Another compartment of the proposed changes is the need to implement remote identification procedures without a qualified advanced signature. It is proposed to unilaterally recognize electronic EU signatures. Another compartment to be modified relates to the exclusion of the obligation to notify as a personal data operator.
The document of legislative amendments also contains proposals to amend the provisions related to the remote services for opening, liquidating and amending business documents.
The amendments to the 25 legislative acts were elaborated by experts within the implementation of the Roadmap for boosting the process of digitization of the national economy and development of electronic commerce. The document is implemented by MEI jointly with the Economic Council and with international expertise provided through the International Finance Corporation, EBRD, GIZ, USAID.
