ECONOMIC COUNCIL TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE RM
January 15, 2020 – Ministries and other central public administration institutions will set up specialized working groups in which the 130 issues raised by the representatives of the business community will be discussed.
The issues were set out in the last three meetings of the Prime Minister with representatives of the business – the event organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Investment Agency “Dialog Pro-Business” of December 17, 2019, the plenary meeting of the Economic Council on December 4, 2019 and the Prime Minister’s working meeting with the members of the European Business Association and the American Chamber of Commerce of Moldova from December 18, 2019.
Among the problems mentioned are, for example, the reform of the system of financing economic activities. Another topic is the need to sign Free Trade Agreements with countries such as China, India or Egypt. Creation of the Business Ombudsman Institution – another topic addressed by the business community.
All the proposals were systematized by the Secretariat of the Economic Council at the indication of the Prime Minister. The list of problems and proposals was sent by the State Chancellery, to all central state public administration institutions responsible for identifying solutions, with monthly progress reports to the Secretariat of the Economic Council and further information to the Prime Minister.
The Secretariat of the Economic Council will continue to monitor the solution of the problems reported by the business community.
