ECONOMIC COUNCIL TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE RM
14 august 2019 – The importers say that the difficulties are caused by some vagueness in the Regulation on the way of crossing the state border of the goods controlled by ANSA.
Some international economic agents operating in Moldova mentioned at the meeting of the Economic Council that the subject was discussed, that only for the notification in the TRACES information system the import of a single truck with 1000 food products, generated 60 notifications. The whole procedure took 20 hours.
It took another 13 hours for the ANSA border inspector to check the documentation.
The participants in the meeting proposed, among other things, that notification in the TRACES information system be made only for products of animal origin as it is done in the EU.
Following the meeting, it was decided that at the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure with the active participation of the Economic Council and the relevant institutions, solutions will be sought for each subject addressed at the meeting.
The Secretariat of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister is supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, funded by the UK Government’s Good Governance Fund.
