The entrepreneurs are unsatisfied by the mechanism for determining the amount of insurance for dangerous industrial objects

August 9, 2019 – The business community calls for the revision of the law on industrial safety of dangerous industrial objects.

The topic was debated within the Economic Council Platform at the request of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure.

Business representatives say that the latest amendments to the law on industrial security of dangerous industrial objects expressly regulate the amount of insurance, which varies depending on the category, from 5 million lei to 100 million lei.

The participants at the meeting mentioned the need to adjust the normative framework and to create an efficient mechanism for establishing the insured amounts, depending on the risks specific to the insurance contract for dangerous industrial objects, and until the adjustments are performed should be used previous provisions prior to the 2018, before amendments to the law were adopted.
