ECONOMIC COUNCIL TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE RM
This was the conclusion of the experts of the Economic Council Secretariat to the Prime Minister of Moldova at the end of the official visit to China.
From discussions held with representatives of several Chinese companies and organizations, the development of the economic project “One Belt, one Road” the Silk Road, is meant to facilitate commercial and economic relations in a geographical area which includes over 70 states, and Moldova could benefit from the economic and trade relations between major economic powers at the two ends of this road – the EU and China. However, China is virtually unaware of the potential of Moldova within the Silk Road project from the perspective of infrastructure, investment, commerce and tourism, “said the experts of the Secretariat.
In China, the Moldovan delegation, including the Advisor for Foreign Policy Andrei Galbur and the Head of the legislation harmonization Center at the State Chancellery, Natalia Suceveanu, met with representatives of China’s People Political Consultative Conference, which is in charge of the Economic and Social Council. China’s “Silk Road” International Chamber of Commerce has shown an increased interest in strengthening economic and trade relations with Moldova, being open to discuss investment and export projects.

We are talking about collecting and processing data on the provision of public services and the needs of citizens, and businesses that can make public authorities more accountable and suggest measures to simplify daily life and work for citizens and businesses, “the Economic Council experts said.
“An increased effort will be needed from Moldova to develop proposals for infrastructure, investment and trade projects to be presented to colleagues in China. At the same time, it is key to speed up regulatory and administrative reforms so that trade and investment face no impediment and burden, which is also a major priority for the economic project with China, “said Head of Mission Ion Lupan , head of the Secretariat of the Economic Council to the Prime Minister of RM.
